BC Kalev/Cramo defeated VEF in Paf League final, Ogre brought home the bronze

Paf Latvian-Estonian Basketball League culminated last weekend in Riga with the Final 6 tournament. In the final BC Kalev/Cramo won against Riga VEF 86:75

Kalev lost in the open quarter 20:29. However, the situation was leveled by half time, and by the last quarter, the Kalev had already led by three points. In the last minutes of the match, Kalev / Cramo had a clear initiative and despite VEF's efforts, estonians won the trophy. 


Maurice Kemp was Kalev/Cramo's best with 22 points and 9 rebounds. Devin Thomas added 14 points and 6 rebounds and Janari Jõesaar scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Marcus Keene followed with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists, and 11 points were awarded to Janis Kaufmanis (5 assists) and Chavaughn Lewis (3 assists and 4 assists).


Kyle Allman was VEF's best with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Kristers Zoriks added 13 points and 3 assists, and Michale Kyser and Isaiah Pineiro scored 11 points, taking 5 and 3 rebounds. 


Kalev/Cramo forward Maurice Kemp won MVP award of the tournament. Kemp was also named to the tournament`s All Star 5 along with Janari Jõesaar (Kalev/Cramo), Kyle Allman (VEF), Rihards Kuksiks (Ogre) and Brandon Childress (Rapla). 


In the bronze medal match BK Ogre got away with a 75:73 victory over AVIS UTILITAS Rapla. Rihards Kuksiks nailed six three-pointers and finished with 21 points and 5 rebounds for Ogre. Rihards Zebergs added 14 points and Rinalds Sirsninš scored 11 points, took 5 rebounds and gave 10 assists.
